"He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure."  Isaiah 33:6

Has your child been given a heart-wrenching diagnosis such as bipolar disorder, Down syndrome, autism, Asperger syndrome, ADHD, or reactive attachment disorder?  Was your child born with physical or intellectual disabilities?  Then you're not just the mother of a special-needs child, you're a special-needs mom!

If your child struggles with physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, or behavioral difficulties and you find yourself disillusioned and disheartened, this Bible study is for you.  Written by a mom who is also walking this journey, Unlocking The Treasure offers hope and encouragement in the midst of daily battles and extraordinary challenges.

If you feel isolated, lonely, and misunderstood please know you're not alone.  God does not intend for you to struggle alone in your pain.  I would encourage you to reach out...first to Him, and then to others. This Bible study is a good place to start.  As the pages of Scripture are opened, you will uncover the treasure of a heavenly Father who deeply loves His children.  This journey will bring you into the heart of Scripture, where you will discover God's lavish love and gentle compassion.  You will learn what it means to trust God with yourself and your child.  You will discover the God of hope and uncover the promises of peace and contentment.  Finally, you will bring to light the hope of an abundant and joy-filled life, even on this side of heaven!

I would love to hear from others who are on a difficult journey with their own child.  Please feel free to contact me via email.  My email address is bevroozeboom@gmail.com.  You can also visit my website at www.bevroozeboom.com.

This Bible study can be ordered from me, from your local bookseller, from the publisher WestBow Press www.westbowpress.com, or from your preferred on-line retailer.

  1. Hi! I just received a copy of your book. We are using it as a Bible Study at our church, www.sunrisebaptistep.org, on Wed nights. Our church has really opened its arms to children with special needs (particularly on the autism spectrum). I am so excited to be able to love on and encourage the moms as well! Thank you for writing this.
